Penalty Area is designed to keep your game data simple and under your control. This policy explains what is stored on your device and what is shared when you choose online features.

Information stored on your device

Your display name, country selection, local progress, preferences, and purchase state are stored on your device. Shot history and career progress remain local unless you enable a service described below.

Game Center

If you sign in to Apple Game Center, Penalty Area can submit leaderboard scores and achievement progress to your Game Center account. Apple handles that account and its data under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Penalty Area leaderboard

If you use the in-game leaderboard, Penalty Area stores your chosen nickname, country code, best score, and elapsed time in Apple-hosted iCloud CloudKit. A salted, non-reversible player key is used for ranking; your raw Game Center player ID is not shown in the public leaderboard.

Leaderboard entries are visible to other players. You can change your nickname and country from your player profile card. You can also contact support to ask about your data.

Purchases and third parties

Purchases are processed by Apple. Penalty Area does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics in the current build.

Your choices

• You can play without signing in to Game Center.
• You can change your public nickname and country at any time.
• You can ask us about a leaderboard entry or privacy question by email.
